Basic Module Project-Based Working (NL/ENG)

Introduction & Content

Project-based working is a method that directly helps to create impact in your work. It enables you to formulate clear objectives, allocate tasks effectively, and meet deadlines, allowing you to achieve results more efficiently. In addition, it supports you in managing risks, monitoring progress and presenting outcomes to your stakeholders in a structured and convincing way. 

The Basic Module Project-Based Working is designed for individuals or teams operating in the public sector who are looking for a practical step-by-step approach to setting up and executing projects. 

By the end of the module, participants will be able to apply the fundamental principles of project-based working within their professional context using standardized methods. 

Over the course of 8 sessions, participants work towards finalizing their own Project Plan. During each session, participants work on concrete deliverables that contribute to their Project Plan. 

Course outline:

Session 1: Introduction & Workshop
Working with the project canvas.

Session 2: Introduction to the Project Plan & Defining the project
Insights into project definitions, project characteristics, and how projects are embedded within your organization. 

Session 3: Project Planning & Project Phases
How to formulate clear milestones, define project activities and structure them effectively.

Session 4: Risk Analysis & Project Management
What is risk management, and how you analyze and manage risks? How do you clearly define the scope of your project? 

Session 5: Collaborations & Roles
Introduction into effectively working together, understanding group dynamics, and defining roles with the Project Plan. 

Session 6: Project closing & finalizing the Project Plan
How do you successfully complete a project? Evaluating and documenting your project.

Session 7 & 8: Presentation of Project Results 
Insights and techniques for delivering a structured presentation. Learning from other presentations.

Examination:
The examinations exists out of a portfolio with three parts:

• Writing the Project Plan
• An assessment on your Project Plan
• A reflection rapport
